Meegan and Bob were married on the beach at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de’Oro. It was a spectacular day for a wedding and for wedding photography.  We loved the contrast of the sand and the formal attire, very dramatic and beautiful.  The Morro Bay reception was lively and filled with love and generosity.

Los Osos – Morro Bay Weddings

Central Coast Weddings are amazing.  There’s no end to the beautiful locations for a ceremony and reception.  The towns of Los Osos and Morro Bay are no exception. There’s spectacular nature along the coast, with the bay, the rock, and, of course, Montana de’Oro, which as a State Park is an excellent value.  Montana de’ Oro is one of the most beautiful spots on the Central Coast.

Avila Beach is a fantastic place for beach weddings!  We love it there.  Avila provides great weather most of the year — even when it’s foggy at other beaches, Avila usually shines.    There’s also a terrific beach, pier and beach front shopping walk.  Avila is stunning. It’s great for wedding photography.  There’s much to work with, sunsets, warm light, pier posts, and rocky coastline.

One of the many specials things about Avila is the Friday night fish farmer’s market.  There’s food vendors (you have to try the fish tacos), fresh friut and veggies, and live music.

The Avila Beach Lighthouse Suites is a fantastic choice.  The hotel of suite is as close to the sand as you can get in Avila.  They have their wedding ceremonies on the sand, offer a courtryard transition area, a reception hall with an adjacent courtyard for dancing and wedding reception events.  The fun part of an Avila Beach Lighthouse Suites Wedding is it’s right there, as on the beach as you can be, right in the heart of the boardwalk, and the rooms are suites!

The Avila Beach Athletic Club is another terrific choice for a Wedding in Avila Beach.  It’s inland, comfortably set in the hills leading in to the beach.  There’s a lovely garden area for your reception and a spacious patio for your reception.

Small Wedding – Single Shooter

This package is for brides and grooms who want more coverage time, but feel they’ll only need one photographer.  We are exceptional photographers, who are experienced enough to handle a ceremony alone, so you’ll get plenty of fantastic shots. With this package you’ll get all of your images on a drive, on-line gallery, and a photo release letter so you can do anything you like with your images.  This package is $1000.

Brady and Ben are just plain fun.  They have a joy of life and of each other that shines through infects everyone around them, including us.  We loved being their wedding photographers and we loved being on the beach in Cambria.

It was a little windy to get things started, but that didn’t stop the setting from being spectacular.  The surf was high and wind blown, adding to the rugged beach backdrop.  But Brady and Ben weren’t about the drama of the scenery — as their orange and yellow converse hightops proved — they were ready to get the party started.  They said, “I do”,  and got rolling into the good fun.

They didn’t want anything grandiose, so it was fun for us to free shot, capturing what happened and some of their terrific energy.  And this was absolutely the best cake smash we’ve ever seen!

Cambria Weddings

With it’s rugged, stunning coastline and small town charm, Cambria is an idyllic spot for a wedding.  It’s magnificent views and beaches provide wedding photographers dream backdrops. Brady and Ben were married in Shamel Park  where there’s plenty of tables and easy access to a beautiful beach.

Wedding at the Monday Club San Luis Obispo

The Monday Club in San Luis Obispo is a fun place to have a wedding. Designed by Julia Morgan, it’s classic charm is gives any reception an aire of elegance. Cathy and Tim were married at the Monday Club after having found each other after a long separation. They smile and laugh together. It’s infectious. We really liked being their photographers. It was also fun to have Meghan on board as an assistant. Her first working wedding!

It was also great fun to bring our Bluesteel Airstream Photobooth along for great Photobooth shots and video as well.
